The Hangover Part III [2013]
The final “Hangover” movie doesn’t include a hangover or the old spirit and wild laughs of the previous films. There is too much Zach Galifianakis and way too much Ken Jeong, but when Galifianakis resigns from the Wolfpack, it is genuinely sad.

The Hangover Part II (2011)
The second “Hangover” is darker (with more male nudity) and better than the first, thanks to Bangkok, where Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis find violent monks and a drug-dealing monkey — and Helms reworks Billy Joel’s “Allentown.”

The Invention of Lying (2009)
Ricky Gervais’ first film isn’t as smart or funny as his HBO series “The Office” and “Extras,” but he fashions a clever premise — a world without lying — into some great moments and a gentle commentary on religion. Louie C.K. is especially good.

The Hangover (2009)
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis play guy archetypes — the frat boy, the neurotic, the child — and make them funny anew as three groomsmen who wake up in Las Vegas with no tooth, no groom and no memory of what happened the night before.
