Director Marcus Nispel restarts the slasher franchise in a glossier but familiar fashion: The boys are drunk and high, the girls are topless and Jason, in memory of his mother, kills almost all of them. He enjoys his work, impaling campers in myriad ways.

Was this an improvement on the original? If not, I see no reason to re-create the wheel (a common theme among movies/TV these days).
ReplyDeleteSo true. The remakes seem to have a bigger budget but less charm, especially the horror movies, unless Rob Zombie is involved.
