The animated film’s pathos is present early — a wordless four-minute montage that touchingly recounts an old man’s life with his wife and the home they built together. The old man and a young boy go on a new adventure full of talking dogs and a fallen hero.

Really liked this one. Was an extremely touching movie -- particularly the beginning and the end. The middle got a tad random; however, the animation and the underlying theme was enough to keep my interest. One of the better animated movies I've ever seen. And since I have a 3-year-old, well, I feel like I'm becoming quite the expert.
